2. PEDAGOGICAL CONTENTS
2.1 TEACHING METHODS
I have observed Mr Cuevo's class and I have noted some of the teaching methods he uses. Before starting the lesson, Mr. Noni's will review the previous material and provide motivation to students, as a strategy so that students can focus on the lesson that will be delivered. Every time he explains the material, he uses a question and answer method so that students can listen to the material. This is a good strategy because this way he can find out whether students understand the lesson that has been explained or not. If the students don't know the answer, Mr. Cuevo will provide instructions so the students can answer the question. I also noticed that he uses contextual learning where he relates the material taught to everyday life thereby allowing students to learn the concepts and theories that will be discussed. In this way, he will not always be a source of information and allows students time to think, study the material and remember the material they have studied. After observation, I created a lesson plan to teach in class.
2.2 LEARNING MATERIALS AND INNOVATION
2.3 SOURCES OF LEARNING AND TECHNOLOGY
At FEU Roosevelt, all classrooms, faculty rooms, and laboratories are equipped with projectors for teachers to use. The library has computers that not only teachers but also students can use. The staff room is also equipped with the same equipment. and each room has air conditioning so that even though the weather is hot, teachers and students can be comfortable in the room.2.4 AUTHENTIC ASSESSMENT
During my observations and questions with several teachers who teach at FEU Roosevelt, I learned that they use several methods to assess their students. Some of them are through student appearance, activity in class, assignments and quizzes. Through this assessment, students are able to show activeness and focus when learning in class. This method is a great way to assess students without relying solely on written tests.
